November 30th - December 3rd in the Grand and Small Building of Theatre Vanemuine and in the Harbour Theatre

On December 16, 2000 Theatre Vanemuine celebrated the centennary of Ida Erika Elizabeth Urbel, the founder of our ballet company. Then the idea of organizing an annual meeting of young dancers and choreographers was born. In 2006 the festival is held for the sixth time already. You can see both classical ballet and contemporary dance here, as well as dance movies, photo exhibitions and video installations.

There have been participants not only from Estonia but also from Norway, Great Britain, Finland, Hungary, Russia, Belgium and the Chekh Republic.The number of spectators keeps rising every year and has amounted to 5,000.

I.D.A. is meant for everybody, bu especially for young people in order to introduce dance theatre to them.
